    Paddler from Eastern Oregon Titling and Registration of Your Watercraft

    All motorized boats, regardless of length or type, must be titled and registered in Oregon. Sailboats 12 feet and longer must also be titled and registered.

    Registration and title fees and marine fuel taxes support boating facilities, marine law enforcement and boating safety education.

Do you have a boat registration that expired 12/31/10 or 12/31/11? Renew now for your 2013 decals!
******Please Note******
Registration cannot be renewed prior to November 1st of the expiration year.
 
3 Ways to Renew:
 
1) Online. You'll need your Certificate of Number and PIN number from your renewal notice.
2) Direct Mail: Marine Board PO Box 14145 Salem, OR 97309. Calculate fee: $3 per foot (rounded up)    plus the $5 Aquatic Invasive Species Surcharge. (i.e. A boat 18 feet 2 inches = (19 X $3) + $5 = $62)
3) Visit a registration agent. (*charge a processing fee)
 Current decals lost or removed? Replacement sets are $10.

Titling Your Watercraft

Documented recreational vessels primarily used in Oregon waters must be registered.

Oregon boat titles must be submitted by mail or through a local agent within 30 days from the date of purchase to avoid a $25.00 late transfer penalty.
Submit other boat title requests by mail or with a local agent.

Theft on the Rise
Boaters beware of theft! Boat wiring and other metal have been targeted in the Portland/Metro area. Don't leave anything of importance on your boat. Be sure to keep your boat stored in a secure location and remove any important documents until you go out on your next voyage.
